Home Based Learning Program
​Sandbox Collective is an in-home child care program that services children ages 12 months* - 6 years old.
Bilingual (English/Spanish)
A welcoming environment for children and families from all cultures and who speak different languages.
Research shows that children exposed to multiple languages at an early age show better executive function skills, especially the ability to think flexibly, focus attention, and filter out distractions.

Children enrolled in our program are exposed to a bilingual (English/Spanish) environment. Our goal is for children to learn Spanish in a meaningful way. Teachers use Spanish during daily interactions: routines, music, literature, and daily conversations.
Nurturing
A safe and joyful environment for children to grow in and gain a love for learning.

We offer low teacher-to-child ratios that facilitate high quality interactions and enhanced classroom safety.

Children are part of small learning groups with teachers who will get to know them individually and create strong teacher-child bonds. This also ensures personalized goals and learning plans.
Mixed Age Learning
Although each age group has an age appropriate curriculum and routine they follow, there are moments throughout the day when all children have an opportunity to interact and learn from each other.
Our older children:

Are inspired to be leaders, their confidence growing as they teach their younger peers.

Learn to gently interact with their younger peers, developing nurturing, patience, and tolerance skills.

Observe child development as they see their younger peers grow and learn new skills!

Are immersed in rich language by listening to their older peers play and talk

Are given ample time and space to develop based on their interests and unique being, not age group.
Mix-aged learning also plants the seeds for empathy and long-lasting friendships.
Outdoor Environment
We spend more than half of our day outdoors!
The children in our care explore freely, get messy, and learn through nature-based play.
Our outdoor classroom has plentiful of natural and teacher prepared curiosities for children to investigate and explore.

Weather permitting, we enjoy all meal times outdoors.
